Beaver & Cub Scouts

We run a Beaver Scouts group at Colindale Primary School for boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old. We meet every Wednesday during term time in the school hall from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. If you would like to join us please contact scoutgroup_1stcolindale@outlook.com for more information.

Karate Club

Karate club runs every Tuesday from 3.20pm to 4.30pm at Colindale Primary School.

Karate helps to develop self-confidence, concentration, respect and coordination, whilst learning about self- defence.

Photography Club

Photography club runs every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm at Colindale Primary School (Starting on 28/4/20 until 7/7/20 (Half term is 25/5/20-29/5/20).

The children will have the chance to develop their skills playing with Nikon compact cameras, Canon Digital SLR’s and a wide range of photographic tools.

Animation Club

Animation club runs every Friday from 3.30pm to 5.00pm at Colindale Primary School (Starting on 1/5/20 until 10/7/20 (Half term is 25/5/20-29/5/20).

The children will have the chance to develop their skills in animation through Flipbooks, Drawing, Play Dough, Stickbots and Lego.

Well-being Club

We are offering an exciting new after school club with lots of fun activities such as painting, drawing, writing, music and much more! The club’s focus is on children’s well-being and it provides a safe space for children to explore their feelings.

The club is open to all children in years 1-6 (maximum of 15 children per session) and runs every Wednesday and Friday at 3:15-4:15pm for ten sessions at a time. There are currently no spaces left, but if you want to place your child on the waiting list, please contact the school office.

Theatre Workout Academy Drama Club

The drama club runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Our curriculum is designed to develop

  • essential life skills, such as confidence, listening and communication; teamwork and leadership; public speaking with improved language and literacy; creative thinking and self-expression; and emotional intelligence
  • performance skills, such as voice and speech; character development; creative writing and devising; choreography and movement for dance; and physical theatre and singing.

Classes are delivered on a weekly basis. Each term’s course will cover a range of techniques with one area of focus, such as a particular play text or style of performance. Students will receive regular opportunities to perform within their group, working towards larger performances at least once a year to which parents and friends are invited.

All our practitioners are industry professionals, such as actors, singers, dancers, directors, and other theatre makers. They are DBS checked, trained, experienced and insured.
