At Colindale Primary School, we want to work closely with parents and carers. We are always happy to listen and help with any worries or questions.

We believe it is best to deal with concerns as early as possible. Many issues can be sorted out quickly by talking to the right member of staff. We take all concerns seriously and will do our best to resolve them quickly.

Please use our Communication Flow Chart below. This shows who you should speak to, depending on your concern. In most cases, the class teacher should be your first contact.

What is the difference between a concern and a complaint?

  • A concern is a worry, question or problem that can usually be sorted out by speaking to a member of staff, for example your child’s class teacher.
  • A complaint is when you feel the issue has not been resolved, or the matter is more serious and needs to be looked at through the school’s formal complaints process.

If you would like to make a formal complaint, please read our Complaints Policy below. This explains the steps to follow and how the process works.
