About Colindale
Colindale Primary School is a large, vibrant and inclusive community school for children aged 2 to 11, maintained by the London Borough of Barnet.
We are a three-form entry primary school, with around 750 children from Little Rainbows, our provision for two-year-olds, through to Year 6. We also have a resourced provision for children with physical disabilities, and Acorn Assessment Centre, which supports pre-school children with complex needs, is based on our school site.
Our modern, spacious and fully accessible building has been designed to provide children with an excellent environment in which to learn, play and grow. Classrooms are bright and well resourced, with a range of additional spaces supporting learning, creativity, physical development and children’s wider experiences.
We are particularly fortunate to have extensive outdoor spaces, giving children plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, sport, exploration and play.

Our facilities

Our children benefit from an exceptional range of facilities, both indoors and outdoors.
These include our own indoor heated swimming pool, a large all-weather sports pitch, enclosed netball and basketball court, tennis court, sensory room and a large hall with a stage, sound and lighting facilities.
Our extensive grounds also include a pond and environmental area, sensory garden, woodland area, gardening spaces, a tree house and an outdoor gym, providing children with wonderful opportunities to learn, explore, be active and enjoy the outdoors.
The school is organised into three classes in each year group from Reception to Year 6, alongside our Nursery and Little Rainbows provision for two-year-olds. Together, these spaces and facilities allow us to offer children a rich variety of learning experiences throughout their time at Colindale.
